Roberta Dolores Long 1932-2021

Roberta Dolores Long (Megee), 88, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away March 5, 2021.

Roberta was a devoted wife and mother. She has been a widow since 1991, when her husband, Tommie, passed. She was born in Mountain Park, Oklahoma, August 1, 1932, and was the third child to Bill & Pearl Megee. They later relocated to Ponca City, Oklahoma, where she spent most of her school years, and later met her husband. Roberta and Tommie were married in Ponca City in 1951. They moved to Wichita, KS, for several years and later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they had two sons, William and Robert. Roberta stayed at home and raised her boys and enjoyed helping them in Boy Scouts. Her biggest passion was raising her boys and spending time with her family and friends. Roberta was a long-time member of the friendship craft club in Tulsa. She attended and was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.

Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Long; her parents, Bill and Pearl Megee; her sister, Juanita McKain; and brother, William R. Megee (Russell).

Roberta is survived by her two sons, William and Robert Long, and their spouses Melonia and Lori Long. Six grandchildren; William Jr, Austin, Christopher, Julia, Jeremy, and Emily Long.

Funeral service will be held at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 1908 S. Memorial Dr., on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a private family burial.

The family of Roberta wishes to extend our thanks to all the nurses, healthcare professionals, and hospice organization that assisted our mother during her final days.
