Robin Kay Akins, 52, of Glenpool, Oklahoma, passed away on October 16, 2017. She was born to Al and Betty (Davis) White on November 20, 1964, in Faribault, Minnesota.
Robin was a meat cutter (butcher) by trade at Reasors Grocery Store company and had retired after working many years in the employee-owned regional grocery store chain in Oklahoma. Previously she worked for HEB in Marble Falls, Texas for twenty years. She enjoyed playing golf, socializing with friends, gardening, and cooking. She also was a member of the Dusty Beavers which was a golf group she enjoyed being with.
Robin is survived by her father, Al White in Williamsville, Missouri and her husband, Bill Akins whom she wed in a double ceremony with her daughter, Lana on January 23, 2009, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also survived by her daughters, Lana Kay Simmons and her husband, Mark of Conover, North Carolina, Amanda Michelle Norton and her husband Joe of Kingsland, Texas, Candice Bowers of Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Julie Zirschky and (her husband Mike of Lukas, Texas, sons, James Milum and his wife Jaclyn of Buchanan Dam, Texas and Jason Milum and his wife Amber of Kingsland, Texas, twelve grandchildren, sisters, Jeanie, Karen, Laura, Heather, Jessica, brothers, Larry and Jason. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Robin is preceded in death by her mother.
