Robin Gail Rattray Benesh, 53, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, July 13, 2015. Robin was born on January 8, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bonnie Jean and Claude "Scotty" Rattray. A 1980 graduate of Memorial High School, she went on to the University of Oklahoma and in 1984 earned a bachelor's degree in finance. She was the President of Gamma Phi Beta and was extremely involved both socially and academically. It was easy to see, even as a young woman, that Robin was a giver and a future leader. During her time at OU, she met and fell in love with her future husband, Richard Terry Benesh, whom she married on June 23, 1984 at First Presbyterian Church. Shortly after, they moved to Tulsa to work at the family business, Copier and Computer Systems of Oklahoma. A few short years later, they welcomed their two daughters, Allison Blair born in 1989 and Emily Anne born in 1991. Although Robin was a career-driven woman, her favorite job was being a mother to her girls. After working at the family business for so many years, Robin decided to turn her hobby into a successful business when she opened Canterbury Lane Gifts.

Robin's desire to give and help was truly one of a kind. She wanted everyone to know they were loved, and she could sense when someone needed a helping hand or a listening ear. Robin was a person who was impossible to forget and was always the life of the party. She loved music dearly and was a die-hard Bon Jovi fan. She loved the beach and adored spending time with her girls. Although Robin and Terry separated, their family was still very close and full of love. In recent years, she reconnected with old friends and got an opportunity to fall in love for the second time. Bob Magie came into her life and brought her very much joy. Robin is preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Claude Rattray. She is survived by her daughters, Allison Blair and Emily Anne; numerous loving cousins and family in the U.S. and Scotland; and an overwhelmingly large network of friends.

Her memorial service is scheduled for Monday, July 20th at 12:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Bonnie Jean Rattray.
