Roger Arment Kirkland was born on April 28th, 1945 to Ethel and Lain Kirkland in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Central High School and attended college prior to enlisting in the US Navy. Roger served in the Navy from 1966 to 1972. He returned to Tulsa and worked in a number of jobs, lastly in sales and telemarketing, before his poor health forced him to remain homebound. He had a great love of reading and could always be found with a book in his hand. He is survived by his older brother Richard and his wife Vicki and their sons Aaron, Jim, and Bob. He is also survived by his son Matthew and his wife Carrie, and their five children Benjamin, Keeley, Ian, Elijah, and Caleb. Additionally, he will be mourned as a family mourns for a father by the family of Jeff and Chrystal Rose and their three children Jeffrey, Roger, and Summer.
