Obituary

Roger Carl Krieser, aged 73, was born October 11, 1943 at home outside of Garland, Nebraska, to Walter and Frieda (Wagenknecht) Krieser and passed away on April 20, 2017 at home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Roger was a 1961 graduate of Garland High School, where he won the 1961 state championship in basketball. Roger served in the Nebraska Army National Guard, with an Honorable Discharge. On October 19, 1963, Roger married his first wife, Karen Jean (Krumpus) Krieser, in Wahoo, Nebraska. He was employed with his brother, Gerald Krieser, for several years in Seward, NE, as well as being employed in the drywall industry for several years in Lincoln, NE and Tulsa, OK. He went into business for himself again in 1992 as a drywall and commercial construction contractor. He married Betty Jean (Dolph) Krieser on June 21, 2001 in Miami, OK. Roger enjoyed traveling the United States, preferably by car, with family and Pepper, his dog. He was also a longtime Nebraska Cornhusker fan, through thick and thin, and enjoyed recreational golfing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Frieda Krieser, his first wife Karen Krieser on June 15, 2000, his brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Barbara Krieser, his sister and brother-in-law Marilyn Pethoud and Robert Pethoud, and nephew Steven Krieser. He was also preceded in death by Pepper, who traveled the country with him.

Roger is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Krieser, his son Kevin Krieser, Lawton OK; his daughter and son-in-law Karla and Randy Fletcher, Tulsa, OK; nephew Mike Krieser, Lincoln, NE; nieces and spouses, Angela and Darin Reinke, Lincoln, NE; and several grandnephews and grand-nieces; Sam and Whiskers, his cats.

Visitation will be held at Moore Southlawn Funeral Home, Tulsa, OK, Monday April 24, 2017, from 12:00 until 8:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held graveside at Memorial Park, Tulsa, OK, Tuesday 25, 2017, at 2:00 pm. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
