Ronald Lee Allison was born January 20, 1935 in McAlester, Oklahoma. His parents were Opal Leota Allison and Leroy Allison. Ronald spent his school days, through high school, in the McAlester school system. He was active in drama and made many lifelong friends. He went to college at Southeastern State in Durant and then to dental school at Baylor University College of Dentistry, graduating in 1960.
He practiced dentistry for 36 years before retiring in 1996.
While in college in Durant, he met Phyllis Stafford and they were married in 1956, just before he started dental school. They had two sons, Patrick and Christopher. They spent a lot of memorable days in a boat fishing.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Phyllis; two sons, Pat (m. Kathy) and Chris; eight grandchildren, Summer, Christopher, Sam, Michaela, John, Ellie, Abby, and Elijah. He is also survived by his sister Gloria Swenson and brother-in-law Karl.
Ronald volunteered with several programs providing free dental care to those who could not otherwise afford it.
Ronald was a loyal deliverer for Meals on Wheels for 18 years.
