Obituary

Ronald Martin, age 88, passed away peacefully in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday, October 25, 2025. He was born in Tulsa on Monday, January 18, 1937, and spent his entire life rooted in the city he loved.

A proud 1955 graduate of Central High School in Tulsa, Ronald began his career as a Pattern Maker at Oklahoma Steel in the late 1950s. In 1968, he fulfilled a longtime dream by founding his own company, Quality Pattern, which he successfully operated until his retirement. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a devoted member of Woodland Acres Baptist Church.

Ronald had a lifelong passion for fishing, especially on Grand Lake, where he spent countless days searching for the next "big catch of the day." He was also a dedicated baseball fan, developing his love for the New York Yankees during the legendary Mickey Mantle era. He later shared that passion with young athletes, coaching many youth baseball teams while his son, Ben, was growing up.

He was happiest close to home and rarely strayed far from Tulsa. Trips to Kansas City to watch the Royals, to Texas to visit his daughter, or to Edmond to see his sister often pushed the limits of his comfort zone, yet he made those trips for the people he loved. His loyal, home-rooted nature and quick sense of humor will always be remembered.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Bonnie Martin, and his brother, Donald Martin. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Schuessler of Edmond, Oklahoma; his daughter, Donna Martin and her husband, Brant Chandler of Fort Worth, Texas; his son, Ben Martin and his wife, Heather, of Tulsa; three granddaughters, one grandson, two great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. His family will forever cherish his love, warmth, and humor.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his honor.

He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, devotion, and unforgettable memories.
