Ronnie Glen Whitaker, 81, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Monday, April 17, 2023. He was born May 9, 1941, in Abilene, Texas, to Dudley Whitaker and Kathryn Viola Doby.
Ronnie married the love of his life, Joy Jane Burk, on July 18, 1960, in Roby, Texas. He was secretary-treasurer at Freeman Products, Inc for many years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cared greatly for his family. He was a keen bass fisherman and woodworker.
Ronnie is survived by one son, John Dudley Whitaker and wife Diana Lynn of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two daughters, Katie and husband Doyle Jackson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Karen and husband Tim Hightshoe of Fort Worth, Texas; twelve grandchildren, Logan Moore and wife Kailey, Caleb Whitaker and partner Dean, Zachary Whitaker, Jacob Jackson and fiancee Sonora, Chandler Jackson, Jeff and Ashley Nobile, Adam and Stephanie Willis, Hannah Hightshoe, Troy and Lindsey Barber; and four great-grandchildren, Kinley Nobile, Jackson Willis, Ray Barber, and Alex Barber.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents, and one sister.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
