Family will receive visitors from 1:00 p. m. to 3:00 p. m. on Sunday,
January 26, 2014 at Moore's Memory Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a. m., Monday, January 27, 2014 at
First Baptist Church, 403 South Cincinnati Avenue,
Tulsa, Oklahoma. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, 4161 East
Admiral Place, Tulsa, Oklahoma.


ROSCOE HARRY TURNER 81, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Roscoe was born to Pluit Turner and Helen (Barnett) Turner on February 16, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.Roscoe is survived by his wife, Nancy (Brejcha) Turner of the home. Four sons, Pluit Turner, II; George M. Turner; Roscoe Turner, Jr. and Timothy Turner; three daughters, Rostina Brewer; Kelly Dunn and Katy Holybee.

Roscoe was a life-long Tulsa resident who graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1949. He was employed by a railroad company and the Newspaper Printing Corporation in his younger days, then worked for the city for 21 years as a boiler inspector before being elected to the City Council District 3. Roscoe represented his district with passion. Tulsa lost a true servant leader. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
