Rose Marie Corral, 83 passed into heaven on January 26th. Preceded in death by her parents Amos and Anna Thompson, her brothers, David, Michael and Gib Thompson and her son Matthew Gibble. She is survived by her husband David Corral, her son Patrick Gibble and granddaughters Mia and Olivia Gibble as well as many nieces and nephews.
Born in Tulsa and raised in Sand Springs she lived in Tulsa for most of her life. She married Edward Gibble soon after high school. Ed was a band director for years in the area and Rose Marie was instrumental in building the relationships with his students. The bands traveled all over the world and she was always there to help, watch the kids and work to make sure everything went well for all. When the marriage ended 42 years later she met David Corral at the Tulsa Elk's Lodge. They fell in love and soon realized that they could not live without having the other in their lives! They both enjoyed life and loved to travel. They spent their time going to fabulous places, spending time on beaches and around water. They loved traveling to Mexico and everywhere they went it was their habit to enjoy amazing food! They loved Santa Fe, New Mexico and traveled there often. The two truly loved spending their time together on the road and seeing all of the sites that the US has to offer.
Rose Marie had many lifelong friends from the Catholic Church, her sorority group, Beta Sigma Phi, and later through her membership in the Tulsa Elk's Lodge.
When David's vision began to fail him at about the same time Covid hit they started to settle down and spend more time in Tulsa. Rose Marie also suffered from heart problems for years. Despite all the pain and problems she stayed happy and always maintained a great attitude bringing smiles to all those she met.
She is now free of the pain and waiting in heaven for David to join her when it's time. During her time here, she was a loving person that always had time to listen and talk. We will all miss her greatly. We love you!
