OBITUARY FOR ROY C JACKSON
Roy Clifton Jackson was born October 24th, 1926 to Cecil Edward Jackson and Esther May Jackson in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Growing up in the Wagoner area, Roy attended Star School and Flat Rock School.
At an early age, Roy had various jobs, farming, operating a Ferry Boat and MKT Railroad.
In 1945 Roy was inducted into World War II and served in Japan. Roy served 18 months and was Honorably Discharged in 1946. For his service, Roy was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon, the Army Occupation Ribbon for Japan, the Victory Ribbon and 1 Overseas Bar.
After returning from World War II, Roy worked at CE-Natco for almost 36 years as a welder. Later, Roy would start his own welding company called "ABLE Portable Welding".
In 1951, Roy married Virgie Wind and they were married for 52 years up until Virgie's death. Roy and Virgie raised one son, Robert Darrell.
Through his life, Roy attended various churches. Most notably were High Spring Baptist Church in Okemah, Oklahoma, Living Hope Baptist Church in Tulsa and most recently Eastland Assembly of God in Tulsa.
On July 18th, 2019, Roy left this life and began his Heavenly Journey. Roy was just 3 months shy of his 93rd birthday. He will be greatly missed.

Son: Robert Jackson of Tulsa
Sisters: Shirley Lee and Carolyn Gardner, both of Tulsa
Brother: Billy Jackson of Hulbert
Grandsons: Robby Jackson and Cory Loyer, both of Tulsa
Ex-Daughter-In-Law: Karen Calitri
Companion: Donna Denny and her son Dallas, both of Tulsa
And numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment: 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Highland Cemetery in Okemah, OK
