Phillips, Roy D., 80, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. Born December 6, 1933 in Tulsa, OK to E. L. and Katherine Virginia (Acosta) Phillips, Sr. Graduate of Will Rogers High School Class of '51. Member of Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church.

His automotive career began in 1951 at Standard Parts Company. He continued on to become Parts Manager at Anthony Motor in Sand Springs, Service Mgr, Parts Mgr and General Manager at Premier Pontiac (formerly Milner Pontiac). Later he was to become Service Mgr at Ernie Miller Pontiac. Roy worked there until 1997 ending a 46-year career in the automotive business. After retiring he worked full time at his property management business. Above all else, Roy was a devoted family man and husband.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother Leroy Phillips. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Marlene Rae Phillips of the home; daughter, Leigh Anne Barrick of Sugarland, TX; son, Mike Phillips of Broken Arrow, OK; son Steve Phillips of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; brothers, Ray (his identical twin) and Jim Phillips, both of Tulsa, OK.
