A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Rubye Weathers will be at Moore Funeral Home on April 12th, 2022 at 10:00; Pastor Dave Mewbourne will officiate. Rubye passed into the arms of Jesus on April 7th, 2022 at the age of 82. She was the daughter of Thomas and Bessie Heathcock and was born on January 14th, 1940 in Redland, Oklahoma.
Rubye met Tom Weathers in Tulsa, Oklahoma and they were married on January 29th, 1977. Rubye loved being around family and friends and especially babies and children. Rubye made many friends while managing The Pancake Place and later owning her own restaurant, Rubye's Full Cup Cafe in Tulsa.
Rubye was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Bessie Heathcock; brothers, Franklin and Bill Heathcock; sister Ruth Tarpley; and husband, Tom Weathers. Survivors include son, Bobby Erwin and wife Lori of Claremore; daughter, Terri Gotthardt of Tulsa; granddaughters, Brittany Alvarado of Broken Arrow and Courtney Wilson of Fort Worth; stepdaughter, Tammy Quigley and husband Paul of Catoosa; stepson, Tommy Weathers and wife Florence of Dewey; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Miller and husband Bobby of Sapulpa and Mary Ann Chambers of Sallisaw; and brother, Raymond Heathcock of Muldrow.
The family would like to say Thank You to The Parke Assisted Living in Tulsa for taking such wonderful care of Rubye the past few years She loved the staff and her friends there, especially the fun they had playing Bingo and Skip Bo. Also Thank You to Porta Caeli House in Tulsa for such compassionate care during the last days of her life, The family has requested in lieu of flowers to please send contributions or gifts to The Parke Assisted Living or Porta Caeli House.
