RUTH WOMACK CANNON

Ruth Cannon departed this life on the 9th day of September, 2014, to be with her Lord and family in heaven. Ruth was preceded in death by Ronald, her beloved husband of sixty-five years, brothers Tommy, Jack, and Dawson Womack, and mother Floy and father Will Womack of Chatham, Louisiana. She is survived by her sister, Mary Grace Webb, son Scott Dawson Cannon and his wife Shannon, daughter Kathleen Swearingen and her husband Kent, and grandsons Eric Jason Cannon, his wife Maria and his daughter Eden Elizabeth Cannon, and Drew Dawson Cannon.

Because God could not be everywhere,
He made mothers.
Now ours is gone
Who ran to help us when we fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well.

Goodbye Mom. We love you. We miss you, but know you watch over us still. We'll see you again. Put in a good word for us up there.
