Ruth (Adams) Harris passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 12, 2015 at Clarehouse at age 89. She was born on December 21, 1925 in Kiefer, Oklahoma to John Adams and Fannie (Jordan) Adams. She was a majorette at Westville High School in Westville, Oklahoma.

On January 27, 1948, she married the love of her life, Lieutenant Commander S.J. Harris of the U.S. Navy. They had two children, Deborah born in 1950 and John in 1953. She was a dedicated homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother known as "Gigi.''

She enjoyed cooking, being a very conservative shopper and a flower arranger, but most of all making her home a warm and welcoming place for family. She had a hidden talent that very few people knew, even close family members. She was an artist. One of her pieces hung in the home. The only time you knew it was her work was by asking.

She loved her family very much and she showed it by doing things for them. She was one of the strongest women we've ever known and her motto was "Just don't let on."
