Ruth Hensley, 96, of Claremore, passed away Sat., Mar. 9, 2019. She was born Aug. 16, 1922 in Welch, OK, a daughter of Parmer and Pearl Tiley Brady. She married Ralph Lee Hensley and he preceded her in death. She was a retired waitress having worked at The Glass House for many years and then later at The Phoencia.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Tom) Langston; 2 sons, Tom (Janice) Hensley and Gary Hensley; grandchildren, Dr. Sheryl (Rodney) Ghan, Debbie Morris, Jessica Langston, Shawn Hensley, Jerry (Suzanne) Wilkinson, and Cindy (Steve) Hastins; many great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Sassar; grandchildren, David Sasser and Pam Williams; a great grandson, Jack Hensley; and her sisters, Naomi "Sissie" Hensley and Lavonne "Philly" Mayberry.
Mrs. Hensley was a member of the Verdigris Assembly of God.
Funeral services will take place on Thur., Mar. 14, 2019, 2:00 PM at Verdigris Assembly of God, 25815 S. 4110 Rd., Claremore, OK 74019.
