Hughes – Ruth Jane, 87, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born June 16, 1928 in Enid, OK to Jewel and Vernoy Campbell. She graduated from Central High School, Oklahoma City, and the University of Oklahoma where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree. Ruth was a devoted schoolteacher at Clinton Junior High School in Tulsa for 19 years. She was an active member of Southern Hills Baptist Church for 46 years where she started the homebound ministry and taught the Winsome Sunday School class. Her passion was spending time with her family and she was truly blessed to have a countless number of loving friends.

Ruth is survived by her son, Billy Hughes, wife Jan, Tulsa, OK; son, Randy Hughes, wife Melanie, Dallas, TX; daughter, Lisa Reid, husband Randy, Dallas, TX; daughter Lori Bennett, husband Mike, Norman, OK: grandchildren, Hayden Sides (husband Darren), Barrett Hughes, Marissa Hughes, Monica Hughes, Hampton Hughes, Rachel Reid, Reagan Reid and Maddi Bennett; great-grandchildren, William Sides, Mitch Hughes, Preston Sides and Coleman Sides. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William G. Hughes, Sr.

Viewing will be 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK.
Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 7, 2015, at Southern Hills Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK.
