Ryan C. Whitacre 42 of Tulsa passed away May 13, 2019 as a result of a head injury. He was born June 4, 1976 in Coldwater Michigan the son of Charles and Tomie Whitacre. He attended Wagoner Public Schools but graduated from Kempner High School in Sugarland Texas. He joined the United States Marines and served for the next four years. Went to college at the University of Houston and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Architecture. His professional career included projects Memorial Hermann Hospital in Sugarland TX, the Exxon Mobile Campus in Woodlands TX, and Doha International Airport in Qatar.

He is survived by his mother Tomie Whitacre of Tulsa and sisters Dana Whitacre of Tulsa and Amy Whitacre of Oklahoma City. Maternal grandmother Shirley Gabrielsen, Aunt Terri and husband Jim Burns, Uncle Timothy Gabrielsen, Uncle Dale and wife Vickie Whitacre.

He is preceded in death by father Charles Whitacre, paternal grandparents James and Mildred Whitacre and maternal grandfather Thomas Gabrielsen.
