FRISINGER, Sally B., 83, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at her home in Tulsa. She was born Aug. 5, 1933 in Bartlesville, OK to Charles and Elda Gore Shaffer. She graduated from College High School in 1951 before marrying her high school sweetheart, Roger N. Frisinger on Dec. 20, 1951 in Bartlesville, OK. She stood by her husband's side during the Korean Conflict. Their daughter Jeri Lynn was born in Puerto Rico and their second daughter Charlotte Lee was born in Stillwater, OK.
Sally was a sports fanatic who loved the Oklahoma State Cowboys. She read the newspaper each morning and made sure to cut out stories that would interest her loved ones. She loved to play Solitaire and may be the only person to have ever won One-Handed Solitaire. Sally was much stronger than she ever knew, as a two-time breast cancer survivor, she sets a great example of perseverance and survivorship.
She loved her husband of almost 64 years, Roger, and their daughters Jeri and Charlotte and would do anything for them. Sally was always willing to offer her love and support to her children and grandchildren. Sally is, was and always will be loved by every person she ever knew. And we love her.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeri L. (Harold) Brauer of San Isabel, CO, and daughter, Charlotte L. Ervin of Tulsa, OK; grandsons, Jason Blake (Jennifer Lea) Ervin, and Justin Taylor (Ellie Frances) Ervin, all of Tulsa, OK; a great grandson, Hinson James Ervin; a brother, Larry (Cari) Shaffer of Colorado Springs, CO; her nephew, Kelly (Pat) Shaffer; and other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Weibel and the staff at Oklahoma Cancer Specialists, formerly Tulsa Cancer Institute, for the years of compassionate and loving care.
