Sally Slaughter Summers, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. She was born on March 24, 1934, in Saginaw, Michigan, and spent much of her life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she built a loving home and lasting friendships.

Sally graduated from Central High School and attended Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) for one year. Throughout her life, she was active in several organizations and cherished the friendships she made through them. She was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also enjoyed participating in her Bible study group, which brought her both faith and fellowship.

Sally had a creative spirit and loved to paint. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her family, who were the center of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Ora Hughes; her husband, E.C. Summers; and her grandchild, Alexander Summers.

She is survived by her sons, Blake Summers and his wife Sheri Summers, and Adam Summers and his wife Jayne Summers. She was a devoted grandmother to Stephany Meister and her husband Brian, Hailee Frank and her husband Cameron, Leighton Summers, and Hayden Summers. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Lincoln Frank, Greyson Frank, and Maisie Frank.

Sally is also survived by her brother, Ken Hughes and his wife Claudia; her niece, Ginger Ashmore and her husband Sean; and her nephew, Phil Hughes and his wife Shannon. She leaves behind grand-nephews Noah Ashmore and Zackary Hughes, and grand-niece Zoey Hughes.

Sally will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her deep faith, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
