Sammy Rash, age 72, passed away Tuesday, January 10, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born in Provo, Utah, to C. M. and Bessie Rash. He was a member of UA Local 155 Plumbers & Pipefitters in Little Rock, AR. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, he worked around the world for Bechtel Corporation in various positions including quality control, project manager, and project superintendent.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his two sons, James and John Rash; and one daughter, Lisa Marie Rash. He is survived by one brother, Benny Hez Rash of Lakeview, OR; one granddaughter Jayme Rash of Little Rock, AR; one grandson Zack McCumpsey of Hensley, AR; one niece Toni Rash-Smith of Conway, AR; and one nephew Bart Rash, Lumberton, TX.
Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 21, at Rash Cemetery, located on Highway 35 East, Monticello, AR.
