SAM E. TAYLOR, 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, in Vinita, Ok.
Sam was born to William M. Taylor and Carrie (Staton) Taylor on October 27, 1930, in Cushing, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Epaphra Lou Taylor; his first wife, Nelle (Nickell) Taylor; and stepdaughter, Linda Howe.
Sam is survived by his wife, Gerry (Satterwhite) Taylor; son, Sam E. Taylor, Jr., and wife, Patricia; daughter, Kathryn M. Taylor; stepson, James Criswell, and wife, Dondi; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Upon graduation from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Sam served as a Legal Officer in the U.S. Air Force. After discharge, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for Tulsa County, and as an Attorney for the U.S. Dept. of the Interior. Sam retired as a longtime Administrative Law Judge for the Dept. of Interior, Office of Hearings and Appeals, in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013, at Moore?s Memory Chapel, with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
