Obituary

Sandra Lynn Forester was born, June 12, 1954, in Columbia South Carolina. It was obvious she was a southern girl with her grace, charm and hospitality. Sandy was an incredible cook, better known as the "queen of hors d'oeuvres". She loved bringing people together with food and fellowship.

Sandy had a smile that would light up any room. Her hugs were like a warm blanket being wrapped around you. She loved people, and knew no strangers. Those she met for the first time she would ask "where do you go to church?" Her relationship with the Lord and involvement in church were important to her. For over 40 years she served faithfully in church. She sang in the choir, worked in the nursery, and worked as church secretary. She volunteered many hours for ladies retreats and banquets. She was a Sunday school teacher and camp counselor. Sandy loved giving her time and being a blessing to others.

Sandy met her husband, Robert at Southeast Baptist Church. They were married August 11, 1972. Only 2 months after she graduated from Nathan Hale High School. They celebrated 51 years of marriage together. They have three children Amber Thompson, Drew Forester, and Hannah Hogan.

Sandy was a hard worker. She did not believe in idle hands. When she wasn't serving at church she was taking care of her family and the home. She was more than a stay at home mom; she was a homemaker. Sandy was devoted to her husband and her family. She was always there providing love, encouragement, and support.

Sandy enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved vacations and traveling. She visited almost all the 50 states. She has been to Mexico, Canada, Caribbean Islands, and many European countries. But most of all Sandy loved holidays, birthdays, and spending time with her family. Her 8 grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Sandy passed away on October 11, 2023. She was 69 years young. She touched so many lives with her giving spirit and beautiful smile.
