Obituary

Born January 14, 1955, Sandra Kay Loerch (Beshara) was the third child in a family of six children, having two brothers and three sisters. Raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she attended St. Pius X Catholic School, Nathan Hale High School, and was awarded an academic scholarship to the University of Tulsa, where, in 1977, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors. Shortly after, she was married to John Loerch Jr., of Tulsa, her high school sweetheart since 15 years of age.

Sandy and John moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in 1978, soon to be joined by two daughters, Jennifer in April of 1979, and Natalie in November of 1980. Sandy worked at St. John's Hospital as a charge nurse in the ICU while John finished college at TU and finally graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

John was hired at McDonnel Douglas in 1979, while Sandy went to follow her dream of working with heart patients and began working for the Cardiology of Tulsa at St. Francis. Sandy enjoyed fifteen years with COT and graciously served her colleagues, doctors, and patients. She was coaxed to come to work for Medtronic by a good friend and eventually worked with them for eighteen years.

Sandra was a headstrong person who was willing to assist anyone with problems as she had a sincere love for people. If someone needed help with taking on additional tasks at work, Sandy was always the first to step in. At home she was the ultimate caretaker, loving wife and mother, financial planner, even coordinator, outdoor enthusiast, and an exceptional cook.

She was passionate about her health and exercise so much that she started running 5k races in Tulsa, and eventually got began competing in triathlons. This motivated John to do the same. Sandy had a knack to get you to do what she wanted.

Her golden years were spent at Grand Lake where she cherished every moment spent with family, and every sunset. Her travels with John have taken her to England, Scotland, and Singapore. She has hiked 22,000 steps a day through Utah National Parks. Her love for the water and nature has taken her scuba diving in Mexico, Belize, Grand Cayman, Honduras, and Costa Rica where she swam with the whale sharks and the magical creatures of the ocean. The family trips to Florida beaches, Disney World, and Ski Trips in Colorado will always hold a special place in our hearts.

For the past sixteen years, Sandy's greatest joy and title was being a grandmother to her five grandchildren: Ben, Ella, Ethan, Karsyn and Kennedy, who equally adored her. She let no minute go wasted any time she was with "her babies". She was a constant companion and mother to all.

We love you, Mimi
