Saundra Gillard Beckwith, retired, and resident of Ramona, Oklahoma, died unexpectedly on November 16th, 2022, at the age of 74, by cardiac failure at St. John Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Saundra is survived by her brother, Richard Wayne Gillard; her children, Eva Lorena Fulton, Donna Christene Thomas, and Jason Craig McMillan; her grandchildren, Jordan Alexander Bailey, Joshua Logan Bailey, Carrie Leigh Fulton, Mark Cody Fulton, Hannah Elaine Thomas, Midori Lee McMillan, Terra Mae McMillan, Taylin Grace McMillan, Maryn Anne McMillan; Nieces Deborah Kay Gillard, Elizabeth Jane Gillard, Rachel Loraine Gillard; and many 2nd nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Sylvester Gillard, and mother, Flora Lorena Gillard-Wilson; and nephew, Richard Wayne Gillard II.
Saundra was born in Tulsa, on February 25, 1948, to Richard Sylvester Gillard and Flora Lorena Gillard-Wilson. She built and ran several businesses, and worked at the United States Postal Service for over 25 years. One of her favorite pastimes included devoting time to decorating Department 56 houses. She pioneered ways to display the houses with mountains and pond scenery. At time, she even made a life size styrofoam igloo.
Saundra was a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister. She was as kind as she was stubborn, as determined as she was fearless, as independent as she was loving, and as creative as she was ornery. She rediscovered her faith while in Oklahoma, and shared it often. She lived for her grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, and often went out of her way to spend time with them.
