Obituary

Sharon Gayle (Halpain) Harlan, 68, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away January 12, 2020 while on vacation in Oranjestad, Aruba.

Sharon was born December 10, 1951 in Heavener, Oklahoma to the late Jesse James and Linnie Pauline (Jones) Halpain. She graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma in 1970. She later received an associate's degree from Tulsa Community College and attended Northeastern State University. She retired after 38 years with Warehouse Market as the Corporate Office Manager.

She is survived by her loving family, including husband Clois Harlan, children, Missy Harlan Love and husband George Love of Arkansas, Ashley Harlan Scott and husband Wade Scott of Texas, and Steven Harlan and wife Sandra M. Harlan of Tulsa. She had 8 wonderful grandchildren, who she thought the world of, Hunter Harlan Fox, Morgan Harlan, Hallie Harlan, Chloe Scott, Garrett Love, Ella Scott, Ileigh Love, and Lila Scott. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Halpain and his wife Edie and sister Judy Halpain all of Sand Springs and multiple nieces and nephews.

The most important of all things to Sharon was her family which she loved dearly and would defend at all cost. She always places others above herself and found the good in virtually everyone. If you were her friend you felt like family. Sharon loved to travel to places that she had never been. Warm beaches were always a favorite destination but one of her best trips was when she and Clois traveled to Ireland, England and Frances in 2017. This past fall they also went to a Bob Segar concert in Salt Lake City, Utah and then drove to Arches, Zion and Brice National Parks before going to the Grand Canyon and Boulder Dam. She loved to see the amazing work that only our Lord could do.

Sharon loved to read and watch endless Hallmark movies and HGTV, but her favorite was walking and holding hands with Clois, which they did all the time.
