On the evening of February 26th, 2022, Sharon Kay Ridley passed away at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was surrounded and comforted by her immediate family. Kay was 75 years old at her time of passing. Kay Ridley was born in the town of Frederick, Oklahoma. She was the first child of Jackie Faye and James Thomas Hyder. Kay spent her youth as part of a military family that was stationed in Japan and Germany before coming back to the states to be stationed in California and Georgia before her family finally settled in Oklahoma. She is a graduate of the McLain High School class of 1965. She had a deep love for her family and enjoyed crafting and baking/cooking. Kay was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Broken Arrow chapter. Here she served as a Worthy Matron. She also enjoyed being able to donate to many different charities of interest including Disabled Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Jude Medical.

Kay Ridley is preceded in death by her parents, Jackie Faye and James Thomas Hyder and her husband, John Randal Ridley. She is survived in death by her brother, Rick Hyder; 3 step-children, Jeannine Johnson, Teresa Waldrep, and Alan Ridley. Her 3 grandchildren, Crystal Morris, Jeremy Johnson, and Wesley Waldrep. She is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren, Wyatt Morris, Waylon Morris, Maximus Johnson, Spencer Johnson, Luke Johnson, and Jett Johnson.

Services for Kay will be help on March 4th, 2022 at the Moore Southlawn Chapel located at 9350 East 51st st, Tulsa Oklahoma 74145. Chapel services will begin at 2:00 pm followed by a graveside service. Viewing will be available all day on Thursday March 3rd, with family being present from 4:00-6:00 pm.
