Sheelon J. Gunner "Danny" Simon entered his home in Heaven, joining his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 28, 2014.

Danny was born in Grand Roy, Saint John on the island of Granada on June 25, 1972. He migrated to the United States of America when he was 5 years old, joining his parents in Hackensack, New Jersey. From the time he was a child, Danny had an affinity for the military. He graduated 8th grade from Saint Francis in Hackensack, New Jersey, joined ROTC in high school, and also spent one year of high school at an air academy in Florida. He graduated from Middleton High School in New York in 1990.

When Danny was 19 years old, he joined the Marine Corp Reserves, serving in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and later in San Antonio, Texas. He greatly enjoyed aviation and at one time desired to be a fighter pilot. Danny loved learning and spent time studying at Oral Roberts University. He also took classes at Oklahoma State University.

Danny was loved by all who knew him. He was kind, had an easy going temperament, and a deep desire to help his three aunties and grandmother. Danny was very articulate and an excellent communicator. He was especially close to his younger brother, Shane, and waS always concerned about Shane's welfare.

Danny is survived by his grandmother, his parents, Denzil and Pamela; his younger brother, Shane, and other loving aunties, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Danny's memory to a special account set up at Chase. Service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 11, 2014 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Reception to follow at Fitzgerald Southwood Chapel, 91st & Harvard, Tulsa.
