Sherri Dianne Shelton was born on October 28th, 1938, in Excelsior Springs, MO, to William and Margaret (Izett) Shelton.

Before retiring, Sherri was a proofreader for an attorney in the Tulsa Court System

Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved grandmother Maude Izett Pyle; her husband of 26 years, William O. (Bill) Nichols; and her husband of 8 years, James R. (Jim) Butler.

She is survived by her brother David Foster of Tulsa; sister Debbi Stephenson and husband Charles, of Owasso, OK; as well as her children, Kim Kirby and husband George, of Pueblo, CO, Kenneth Cole and wife Brenda, of Clarksville, AZ, Michael Cole of Pueblo, CO, Michelle Smith and husband Tony of Brentwood, TN; her step-children, Janet Pie of Tulsa, Marilyn Butler and husband Rob Nichols of Durham, NC, Richard Butler and wife Rosella of Woodinville, WA, Sally Kaiser and husband Mark of Franklin, TN, Diane Tucker and husband Roger of Tulsa, OK, and Steven Nichols and wife Karen, of Spring, TX.

Sherri was the very proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 2 nieces; 2 great nieces; 2 great nephews; and her furry friend Beau, the dog, under the care of her granddaughter Hannah and family.
