It is with profound sadness that the family of Sherrill Vaught announces her peaceful passing at home in Tulsa on September 9th 2025. Born on September, 5th, 1946 to Robert and Wanda DuFour, she had just celebrated her 79th birthday. Sherrill is lovingly remembered by Bob, her husband and best friend of 54 years, her two children, Christian and Heather, her son-in-law David and her 5 grandchildren, Avery, Milo, Thomas, Oliver and Wyatt, as well as numerous family and friends.

Sherrill graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1968. She worked at Sooner Federal in advertising from 1969 until 1974 when Heather was born. In 1970, while living in Tulsa, she met Bob at her apartment swimming pool. After they married in 1971, their love and family grew and Sherrill devoted herself to her family, modeling selflessness, generosity and God's unconditional love. She was an active volunteer at church, the children's school, The Junior League and The Little Lighthouse. Whether it was performing as a singing valentine, cross stitching ornaments for the Christmas bazaar, helping to publish annual cookbooks, baking her craveable chocolate chip cookies for the bake sale or leading children's Sunday school she served others with her whole heart.

A visitation will be held on the evening of Friday, September 12th from 5:00 to 7:00 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at Vaught Family Cemetery, 10154 Highway 282, Mountainburg, Arkansas.

A celebration of Sherrill's life will be held Saturday, September 20th at 10:00 AM at Asbury United Methodist, 6767 S. Mingo Rd, Tulsa.
