Shirley was born on December 6, 1947 to Kelly and Juanita (Dodson) Gordon in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Porter High School in 1965.
Shirley is a retired banker but her passion was always the Arts, Jazz, Dancing and Music. Her biggest enjoyment was watching Jack, her grandson, and all his accomplishments. He knew how to put a smile on her face like no one else. They share the same interest of the Arts, music and science. Both have pursued the love for painting. She was a supporter of the local art districts; Pearl District, Brady District, Greenwood District, Guthrie Green & Mayfest. She also loved going to Eurika Springs Blues Festival. She lived her life in the strong belief of positive thoughts and tried to pass that knowledge onto others.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Juanita Gordon; her sisters Donna Gay Scoggins and Bennie Kay Phillips, her nephew Jason Phillips.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Caldwell-Phillips and her grandson, Jack Phillips, the loves of her life. Her sisters, Laura Gordon, Diana Morrow and Joyce White; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her Porter family and a host of dear close friends.
As her niece, Amber, wrote; we will miss those big beautiful eyes and dark ringlets of hair. And her laugh-- one of the best laughs. And just spending time with her.
Family suggests memorials may be made to Pearl District of Tulsa, OK.
