Marion Ann "Shirley" Neal, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shirley, the daughter of Jack and Ola (Hancock) Doolittle was born on August 12, 1935 in Del Rio, Texas. Shirley married Benny Dee "B.D." Neal on November 17, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas. She worked as a cook for the Tulsa Public Schools. Shirley loved to travel more than BD loved to fish, so BD bought her a motorhome to take her wherever she wanted to go after they both retired in 1993. She loved fishing in Bennett Springs, Missouri but Alaska was her favorite.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband B.D. and her son Ben Dee Neal III. Shirley is survived by her daughter Lela Clifton and husband Richard of Tulsa; grandson Chris Clifton and wife Kim of Tulsa; grandson Ben Neal and wife Amanda of Glenpool; granddaughter Naomi Neal of Northglenn, Colorado; great granddaughter Saylor Clifton and great grandson Xander Clifton.
Funeral service will be Monday, April 10 at 1:00 pm at Moore's Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel, Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her name to Clarehouse at Clarehouse.org.
