Obituary

Sigmund Schwier III was born on March 12, 1939 in Mansfield, Ohio to the parents Sigmund Schwier Jr. and Lula J. Schwier. Sigmund had a traveling companion with him at birth, his twin brother Christian Schwier. The family then moved to Wichita, Kansas where "Sig" attended high school and graduated from Wichita East High School. He then attended Wichita State University. Sig met the love of his life, Janice Carol Fletcher. They married June 4, 1961 at the Methodist Church in Bucklin, Kansas. They had two sons together, Sigmund and Jason. He was a loving father and husband. They moved for work many times along the way and made many life long friends. He loved to travel and make jokes. He eventually ended his career in Tulsa, Oklahoma after working for Drysdales Western Wear for many years. His beloved wife preceded him in graduation to glory September 2018 to be with our Lord and heavenly Father in their eternal home. He loved his family. Later in life, God gave him two daughters, Shawn and Carrie. He adored his six grandchildren: Taylor, Laura, Blake, Bryce, Ben, and Alex, all of Tulsa. He will be greatly missed by so many of us still here. We are thankful for peace and his joyous reunion. We love you dearly, Dad and Papa. Thank you for the man you have been and the wonderful loving sons you raised. Until we meet again....
