Sivert Moen, 74, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the past 11 months, passed away there on Friday, May 16, 1975. He was a resident of Albuquerque from 1943 until 11 months ago when he went to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sivert was born on February 22, 1901, in Trondheim, Norway, the son or Marit (Sortiset) and Olof Sivertsen Moen.
Sivert was a veteran of World War I and World War II; and achieved the rank of Master Sargent. He was a member of VFW George O. Breece, Post 401, Albuquerque, NM.
He was a member of the All Saints Lutheran Church.
Sivert is survived by his wife, Lenora "Bernavene" (Sample), of the family home; four daughters: Mary E. Fischer and Patricia McRee, both of Albuquerque, NM; Karen S. Farr, of Datil, NM; and Nancy L. Jones, of Socorro, NM; two step-sons, George F. Camp and Edwin F. Camp, both of Tulsa, OK; a cousin, Leo J. Olson, of Farmington, NM; and two sisters, Eldrie Torgeson, of Tacoma, WA; and Margaret Gudhal, of Howard, SD; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
