Ramona Kay Truitt Smith, lovingly called Mona and Katy by family and friends, was called home on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018.

She and her sister Laura Evans were in a car accident on the way to visit family. They did not suffer. In the blink of an eye they were taken from us and reunited with Our Holy Father.

Mona was born on December 28th, 1950 to Winnie (Wilhelm) and George Edward Truitt II in Melrose Place, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad; husband: Harry Carlos Smith (Charlie); brother: Joseph Murrel Truitt; sister: Lauren Jones.

Mona is survived by her children: Joan Van Dorn and husband Dan of OK, Cheryl Marsh and husband Harry of Washington; siblings: Roger Voight of Germany, Lynn Roberts of Oklahoma, Becky McGuire and husband Royce of Tennessee, Jessie Terry of Oklahoma, George Truitt III and wife Lisa of Oklahoma, Cathleen Morales and husband Daniel of Oklahoma, Diana Pennington Russom and husband Bill of Texas, Joretta Truitt Ratley and husband David of Texas; and many nieces and nephews from all over.

Mona has a big family and will be missed by everyone. She was sweet and loving. If she saw something she felt she needed to fix within herself, and sometimes others, she tried very hard to help fix it. She always came from a place of love. She will be remembered for her love for God, her daughter's, family and friends.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 13th at Moore's Memory Chapel 1403 S. Peoria Ave., Tulsa, OK 74120.
