Obituary

So Van Tran, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on May 8th, 2022 at the age of 92. He was born in 1929 in Ha Nam, Vietnam. He was a major in the South Vietnamese military and was a refugee to the United States after the fall of the South Vietnamese government to the Vietnamese communist in 1975.

He was preceded in death by his wife Be Thi Tran and daughter Lan Dao. He is survived by his son Tuyen and daughter-in-law Phuoc Tran; daughter Oanh and son-in-law Paul Wong; and son-in-law Dat Dao; grandsons Richard and wife Linda, grandson Stuart and wife Socheata, grandson Brian and wife Xuan Diem, granddaughter Christine and husband Tyler and great-grandchildren Daniel, Matthew, Joshua, Donovan and Lily.

Viewing will be at Moore Funeral Homes, Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK on Wednesday, May 11 and Thursday, May 12 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with Rosary Service at 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Mary on Friday at 12:00 pm. Father Duy is the celebrant and burial will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, 9101 S. Harvard, Tulsa, OK.
