"In the love of there as the love of here
Think of her still the same
Way I say she is not dead. She is just away."
James Whitcomb Riley
Our precious mom Stacey Jean Mclain-Merrel left her earthly home on February 28, 2021. Stacey was born October 8, 1972 in San Mateo, CA to Forrest Lee Merrel and Dorothy Jean (Hale) Merrel. In 1995 Stacey and her children moved back to Oklahoma to be near family.
She devoted her entire life to her children. She was a loving grammy and lola. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Stacey's favorite pastimes were riding motorcycles with her friends, listening to music, gardening, and going to the beach. She was a water baby and loved being in the sun. Her neighborhood family was an important part of her life. She was open hearted, and her door was always open to anyone. Stacey took everyone in as if they were her own.
Preceding her in death were her mother Dorothy (Hale) Merrel, and her sister Sharon Morgan.
Survivors are her daughters Dana (Lou) Daugherty and her husband Josh, Brittney Dick of Claremore; sons Thomas (TJ) Wilcome V of Tulsa, Christopher (bubba) Wilcome of Tulsa; father Forrest (Lee) Merrel; sisters Sheri Merrel, Marge Sawyer; brother Rocky Merrel; niece Samantha Snow; grandchildren Kadyn Neils, Gavinne Dick, Zaydi Dick, Xander Dick, Ryder Daugherty, Aiyden Robertson, Celiah Daugherty, and Riley Blaylock.
