Stanley Eugene Ewing, 77, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Stan was born August 1, 1949, in Keokuk, Iowa, and was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Stan graduated from Knox County High School in 1967. In 1978, he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he built a long and dedicated career with Oil Dynamics Inc./Baker Hughes. He worked as a pump assembler for more than 30 years before retiring.

Stan had a deep passion for history and firearms and especially enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments. Above all, however, family was the most important thing in his life. He showed his love through simple, generous acts of care, often preparing a pot roast and delivering it to family members just to make their lives a little easier. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was affectionately known as the grandpa who could always be counted on to hand out dollar bills.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Eugene Ewing and Leta Belle Norton, his niece, Linda Ewing, and his infant brother, Glen Ewing, who passed away in July 1951.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Victoria Ewing, and his siblings (spouses), Harold Ewing (Kevin Wilcoxon), Phyllis Miller (Travis), and Larry Ewing (Jeanie); and his children and their spouses: Michelle Ewing, Brian Ewing (Modeste), Paul Crawford (Kim), Dionne Severs (Bob), Amanda Saxon (Clint), Devorah Archer-Webb, and Ericka Murphy (Brandon).

Stan also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Olivia Combs, Madelyn Ewing, Cailin Ewing, Paul Crawford III (Clarissa), Sydney Crawford Esslinger (Terry), Ella Crawford, Joshua Severs (Amber), Kylie Roller (Christian), Matthew Crawford (Rebecca), Matthew Tyler McFeely (Danika), Brittany Brown (Jonathan Brown), Jessie Drake (Matt), Connor Archer (Courtney), Victoria Fredericks (William), Solomon Archer, Luke Murphy (Danae), Isabella Murphy, Lexi Penland (Isaac Penland), and Judah Murphy, as well as his nieces and nephews, Carrie Durant (Shawn), Jean Davis (Troy), John Ewing (Brittany), and Chase and Kaitlyn Miller, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Stan's generosity, humor, steadfast care for his family, and memorable spirit touched countless lives. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His family will remember the meals he prepared, the dollar bills he handed out, the stories and history he treasured, and, most of all, the love he showed through a lifetime of caring for others.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 2 PM to honor Stan's life. It will be at Church on the Move, 1205 E. Kenosha St. in Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

A graveside service and burial will take place on October 24, 2026 at the Pauline Cemetery in Rutledge, Missouri.
