Stephen Lawrence Faulkner died peacefully on December 5th, 2017, at the age of 68 after multiple battles with cancer. Before going to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, he was surrounded by his loving wife and two sons.
Steve was born on July 22nd, 1949, in Tulsa, OK to Alexander Joseph and Melba (Myers) Faulkner. He married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Bowman, in 1969. After earning his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tulsa in 1971 and his Professional Engineer certification, he enjoyed the challenges and the problem solving during a long, successful career in the mining and oil and gas industries. He was a loving, witty, intelligent man who was devoted to his wife, his family, and his faith in Jesus as an active and dedicated member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his best friend, loving wife and traveling companion, Elaine; two sons, Larry and wife Robin, Jeremy and wife Shannon; grandchildren Alex, Blake, Caroline, Colin, and Grant; brothers Joe Faulkner and John Demaree, sisters Barb Goss and Betsy Catrett; cousins Bonni Bunting, Mike Bartlett, Gary Bartlett, Susan West, and Wendy Beller.
Viewing will be 12pm-8pm, Thursday, December 7th, 2017 at Moore's Rosewood Chapel, 2570 S. Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK. Funeral service will be 11:00am, Friday, December 8th, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 1115 S. Boulder Ave, Tulsa.
