Stephen "Steve" Ray Lewis, 79, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his home. A public viewing will be held 12:00p-8:00p on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home, 9350 E 51st St, Tulsa, OK 74145. A virtual Memorial Service will be held through Zoom on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 4:30p.

Steve was born on October 7, 1941, to Rupert Craig Lewis and Blanche Luella Cline-Lewis in Lawndale, North Carolina. Steve attended Conover-Newton High School in Conover, NC until 1960. He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1977. On June 15, 1983, he married the love of his life, Mary Earline Braithwaite-Pruitt, in Gaffney, South Carolina. Steve dedicated his life to Jehovah in July 1985 and was a faithful member of the Sand Springs Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses until the time of his death. He worked as a locksmith until his retirement in 2010. Steve loved to read and spend time with his family in his free time.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Donald Lewis; daughters, Deidre Lewis and Courtney Pruitt; 1 grandson and 1 great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Earline, of Sand Springs, OK; seven children, Tammy Turner of Raleigh, NC, Lisa Queen of Tulsa, OK, Nicki Duncan of Hickory, NC, Chance Pruitt and wife Elizabeth of Tulsa, OK, Cheyenne Sweat and husband Brandon of Tulsa, OK, Craig Lewis and wife Phebe of Sand Springs, OK, Ciera Garvin and husband Micah of Tulsa, OK; one brother, Ronnie Lewis and wife Dianne of Hickory, NC; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
