Steven Lee Halverson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 5, 1959, to Robert R. Halverson and Anna Fern Halverson, and went to be with the Lord May 26, 2023. He graduated East Central High School in 1977 and went on to Northeastern State College for his undergraduate study.

Between American Eagle and American Airlines, Steve spent several years in Palm Springs, California, and Dallas/Ft. Worth. While living in Palm Springs, he learned to golf, which would become a lifetime passion. He officially retired December 31, 2021 from American Airlines after 27 years with that organization, following proudly in his dad's footsteps.

He was a member of Tulsa Baptist Temple for nearly 60 years, serving in many different capacities, wherever there was a need. He transferred his membership to Southwest Baptist Church a few years ago and quickly became involved in that church, as well.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ann Halverson, and a baby brother, Larry Dean Halverson. He leaves behind his sister, Sue (Halverson) Seibert Wagner, who loved him very much, cousins, and many friends and co-workers who will continue to tell "Steve" stories for some time to come.

Steve had a heart for missions. In lieu of flowers, family would prefer you to make a donation in his name to Southwest Baptist Church Missions here in Tulsa.
