Sue Carolyn Wilson Lohmann, a long time Tulsa resident, died peacefully November 11, 2022. She was born November 23, 1935, at Excelsior the Wilson ancestral family home, near Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Her parents were Andrew Jackson Wilson and Grace Barrington Pyeatt Wilson.
Sue graduated from Westwood High School, Westwood California. She then obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Education degree from the University of Tulsa, and a Doctoral degree from Oklahoma State University. She was employed by Amerada Petroleum Company prior to joining Tulsa Junior College when it opened in 1970. She developed the Legal Secretarial and the Continuing Education Programs and held the position of Associate Vice President in charge of Continuing Education and Economic Development prior to her retirement in 2003.
Sue was an active member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa, the Gilcrease Museum Gilles, the Tuesday Book Club, the Captain Peter Ankeny Chapter of the DAR, Magna Carta Dames, an OSU Master Gardner, and a member of the Boston Avenue Methodist Church.
Family was very important to Sue. During the last three years of her life, she researched and wrote a 700-page genealogy book about her family heritage. She was an avid gardener with a breath-taking yard, had a love for playing the piano and used her beautiful voice to sing for others in choirs and choruses.

Pyeatt Wilson, sisters ElmaJean Wilson Carrington and Mary Kathryn Wilson Miller, brothers Jack Pyeatt Wilson and Rollans Barrington Wilson. She was also preceded in death by the love her life Richard Earl Lohmann, after 25 wonderful years of marriage.
She is survived by her niece Katy Sue (Kenneth) Crittenden, niece Mary Elizabeth
(Christopher) Macioce, nephew Rollans Joel (Darlene) Wilson, niece Suzanne Wilson (Pat) Masterson, nephew Dr. Lee Andrew Miller, many great nieces and nephews, friends, and longtime friend and caregiver Brenda (Mel) Martin.
A Celebration of Sue's Life will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 930 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK.
