Susan Arlene Johnson (Hughes) was born March 22, 1956, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Richard Hughes and Leta Hughes Fry. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her stepfather, Mark Fry. Susan is survived by her husband, David Johnson; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Lindsay (Lauren), Julie Rose (Matt), and Jill Vega (Jaime); sisters Becky Trent (Brad), Cindy Hughes (Joe), and Dana Storey; and several nieces and nephews. Susan and David loved traveling, experiencing new things and spending time together at their home on Grand Lake. Susan spent over 20 years working for Nordam and became the first female VP for the organization. Upon retiring from Nordam, she worked with David at the bank they owned, Peoples Bank. Susan retired from Peoples Bank, in 2021. Susan was an avid reader, loved working the NYTimes Crossword Puzzle, and traveling. Her skills in the kitchen were renowned by her friends and family; she loved to entertain. Susan touched many lives with her generosity and love and her absence has left a hole in our hearts. Susan loved God, her family, and her country.
