Obituary

Susan "Sue" Warner, 84, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on December 26, 2023. She was born on April 21, 1939, to parents James David Honour, Jr. and Sara Eileen Pascoe in Wassaic, New York. Sue was a beloved school teacher in Jenks for many years, leaving a lasting impact on her students. After retiring more than 20 years ago, she continued to cherish the connections she made with "her kids" around town. Sue had a warm heart and was known for offering hugs and smiles to everyone she met.

In her free time, Sue enjoyed playing golf and dedicated her retirement years to volunteering at Assistance League, where she found fulfillment in her work for Operation School Bell. Sue's commitment to education extended beyond the classroom, and she made a positive difference in the lives of many.

Sue is survived by her loving daughters, Karen Jacquemot Stanley and Lisa Jacquemot Goulet (Matt), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Michael Althoff (Kasey), Kelly McDonald, Bryce Goulet, and Bethany Goulet Koehler (Adam). She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Rhett, Campbell, and Westley Althoff. Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Warner.

Sue received her education at Trenton State Teacher's College, where she honed her skills as a middle school English teacher. She dedicated her career to Jenks Middle School, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues.

Sue was an active member of Fellowship Lutheran Church in Tulsa, where she found solace and community. She sang tenor in the church choir and cherished her time spent worshiping and singing with her fellow congregants.

A funeral in Sue's honor will be held at Fellowship Lutheran Church, 6727 S. Sheridan Rd., on Sunday, December 31st at 2PM with a brief viewing prior to and coffee and desserts following the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sue's memory to Assistance League Tulsa. Donations can be sent to 5350 E. 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74135.
