Obituary

Suzanne D. Reeves passed away peacefully from this life at her home on February 28, 2024, at the age of 89 years old. She was born June 11, 1934, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was raised by her parents, Dale, and Grace Vaughn. Suzanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and even a great, great grandmother who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Suzanne shared a bond of love and companionship that stood the test of time with her loving husband, Billy Joe, creating a home filled with love and laughter.
Suzanne graduated from Central High School in Tulsa and soon married the love of her life Billy Joe Reeves. She enjoyed her life as a homemaker and mother very much but also was very interested in artistic projects. Several of her pictures were recently displayed. Always stylish in her dress, she was an accomplished seamstress as wells as being very careful of her appearance. She made all of Sandy's clothes for school and gave the boys their haircuts. Jimmy Dale and Genej said they think that she used a bowl for those haircuts. Her interests extended to music and she played the base fiddle in Billy Joe's band. Suzanne was a member of the Tulsa Fire Department Auxiliary and was a member of the Mannford Garden club.
She was a charter member of Osage Hills Christian Church where she had many friends. Her large family was always willing to serve the church in any way that they were asked. Suzanne served as a dormitory Mom at Christian Camp and sang in the church choir. Her stories and humor will continue to be told and shared with future generations.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Reeves, her parents, and grandparents. Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Sandra S. Blake and husband Bill, son, William Eugene "Gene" Reeves and wife Jackie and son, James Dale Reeves.
Grandchildren: Mark Reeves and wife Jessica, Bradley Reeves, Nikolaus Reeves, Travis Cannon and wife Lexi, Angie Lamb and husband Shaun, Robert Blake, and wife Jamie.
Great Grandchildren: Birdie Cannon, Goldie Cannon, Jaydon Reeves, Rance Reeves, Lele Reeves, Deziree Morris, Kylee Orcutt, Kendall Woods, Hali Blake, Adam Blake, Asher Morris, Hazel Morris, Isaiah Orcutt.
Surrounded by the love and gratitude of those who were fortunate enough to share in her remarkable journey with Billy Joe, may she rest in peace. Suzanne will be dearly missed and always hold a special place in our hearts. She was loved by so many and we were so blessed to have her for all these years. God has a perfect plan, and Heaven has a beautiful new angel.
