Tammy Jean Taylor, 48, went to live with her Lord and Savior on December 4th, 2023 after a 2 year battle with multiple aggressive cancers.
Tammy was born on Jan 17th, 1975, to Tom & Marie Sexton in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While going to visit her sister working at the local Homeland Grocery Store she met the love of her life, Jeff. They were married on March 28th, 1992.
Family meant everything to Tammy; she would do anything and everything for others, putting everyone before herself. Her fight with cancer had many ups and downs but her family supported her every step. Her niece/daughter Krystal led the fight-spending countless hours researching to find a cure, or anything to ease a new pain Tammy was experiencing. Tammy was very thankful for the events that she got to attend during the fight including both Matt and Zach's weddings, Ameerah's 16th birthday party and numerous school activities with the grandkids. She also enjoyed watching Zyleigh play soccer.
Tammy was very proud of her career. She worked in the title and abstract field for many years and truly enjoyed her work and loved her co-workers. She also enjoyed her volunteer work with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children). Her work with children of the court system led her to completing her education to be a court reporter, and she was very proud of this accomplishment.
Tammy is survived by her husband of 32 years-Jeff. Mother: Marie Sexton of Tulsa, Father: Tom Sexton of Skiatook. Sister: Reshawnda Sexton of Tulsa, Brother: Tommy and Ginger Sexton of Collinsville. Sons: Matthew and Alli Taylor of Tulsa, Zachary and Hannah Taylor of Rantoul, Kansas. Niece/Daughter: Krystal and James Gibbs of Owasso. Grandchildren: Ameerah, Gage, Eli, Zyleigh, ElsaMae, Elaina, Evyn and Maddox. Nieces & Nephews: Amber, Kyle, Amaya, Tres, Molly, Fallin, Isiah, Darian, Chevy, Daysen and Atlas.
She was preceded in death by Grandma Betty, Grandma Allene, Grandpa Andy, Grandpa Jerry and Grandpa Art.
Her favorite vacation spots were Cozumel and Okaloosa Beach as well as Flint Ridge. Her entire life she said she didn't want to go to the ocean, but when she got in the ocean you could not get her out. Tammy and Jeff loved Flint Ridge so much they bought property to build a home. Tammy's true enjoyment was spending that time with her kids, grandkids, family and friends. She enjoyed attending everything her kids and grandkids were involved with.
Tammy will be incredibly missed as she was loved by so many.
