Teddie Mae Holmes 84, passed away Wednesday, November 27, in her home in Maple Ridge addition. Born in Locust Grove, OK.
She was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. At age 20 married Forb Phillips Sr. They founded and operated Phillips Transfer Co. until his passing in 1959. She then worked in Tulsa as an accountant for various companies until retiring with Fred Jones Ford with Bill Holmes her husband.
She is survived by her two sons: Forb L. Phillips and Ted P. Phillips, and their wives Meredyth Moore Phillips and Sally Weber Phillips respectively. Also her sister: Lucille Franklin and her children and grandchildren.
Mary Louise Sturdy, her sister, and parents Theodore and Alice Cavalier preceded her in death.
Teddie was loved by all that knew her. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to St. John?s Hospice.
Viewing 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. Monday at Moore?s Memory Chapel. Family will receive visitors from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Monday, 12/2.
Services will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 graveside at the Cavalier Cemetery in Locust Grove, OK.
