Teresa R. Leeper
Teresa passed away on January 31, 2024, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was 48 years old.
Teresa was born April 7, 1975, the eldest child of Larry and Janet Leeper in Tulsa, OK. She was born in what she called as a child, the big pink hospital and, many years later, she would be a nurse there.
She went to St. Pius X Catholic school and graduated in 1993 from Bishop Kelley High School. Teresa then went on to Tulsa Community College where she earned her Associate Degree in Applied Science, Nursing in 1998 and became a registered nurse. She started working at St. Francis Hospital that year and was employed there until her death.
Teresa's nursing specialty was geriatrics. She loved what she did and took great care of her patients faithfully and lovingly. In the past few years, she was also the primary caretaker of her grandmother, and they spent countless hours together discussing current affairs and the Kardashians. She was funny, sometimes silly, smart, and occasionally, she was so blonde. Teresa wasn't perfect, but she was ours and she was always there for everyone in the family when they needed her.
Teresa is survived by her parents, Larry and Janet, her loving brothers, James Leeper of Tulsa, Matthew Leeper, his wife Julia of Owasso and Brian Leeper of Tulsa. She leaves behind her nieces, Anniki Gamrak, Alyzza Leeper, Ella Leeper and Arianne Hinkle of Owasso, nephews, Ethan Gamrak (Emily) of Bartlesville, OK, Chevy Gamrak of Claremore OK and Levi Leeper of Owasso, OK. One very special great nephew Danny Gamrak. Teresa is also survived by her lifelong best friend and partner, Shayne Conyea. Many aunts and uncles and too many cousins to list here. Teresa especially loved seeing her nieces when they came to visit her during her illness. She said it made her happy to hear the things they were doing. She loved you all.
