Terry Lee Brentlinger, was born February 27, 1939 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Henry and Vergie Brentlinger. After a long hard battle, Terry passed peacefully on May 27, 2025. Terry is survived by his spouse of 44 years, Linda Brentlinger. His children are Scott Brentlinger, Steve Brentlinger, Stacey Chambers, husband Mark and Sean Downes. Terry's grandchildren are Christopher Brentlinger, Stacey Brentlinger, Dr. Cory and Bailey Bright, Jacob and Breanna Downes, and Camden Downes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Vergie, his son, Jason Brentlinger, and his granddaughter, Caroline Michelle Downes. Terry was a member of First Methodist Church of Broken Arrow.

Terry had numerous military accommodations, after serving in the Vietnam War with the Navy, and re-enlisting with the Air Force Reserves where he served for 22 years. Terry completed college courses and obtained numerous special certificates of achievement, course completions, and certifications throughout his life. He was retired from the United States Post Office, and a retired Military Veteran, after life-long service, including active duty and air force reserves.

Terry became an active volunteer which included committing time to the Tulsa Red Cross, Tulsa Police Department, Broken Arrow Police Department, Broken Arrow Military Museum, among others. Terry was even named Volunteer of the Year in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma one year. His volunteer work started immediately upon retirement and didn't end until he could not physically continue.

Terry was a 32nd degree Mason. His hobbies and passions were plentiful, he loved baseball, OU women's softball, spending time with his grandkids and attending all of their events, OU football, Nascar racing, collecting military memorabilia and volunteering.

Terry's favorite week of the year was Veteran's week where he and Linda spent time in Branson enjoying all the ceremonies. He loved spending time at the lake house and taking the grandkids and all their friends on the boat for many years. Terry and Linda had a very memorable trip to Hawaii in 2009, which was a lifelong dream. They were thankful for the many special vacations they took over the years.

Terry will be remembered for his love for Linda, his service and sacrifice for our country, for being a loving and devoted father, his dedication to his grandkids, and for the countless hours he spent in giving his time to others.

Viewing will be 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 30, 2025 at Moore's Southlawn. Funeral Service 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Moore Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
