Terry Michael Jeppesen of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away to his heavenly home on December 19, 2025 at the age of 74. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on March 23, 1951 to Marlin and Lorraine Jeppesen, their youngest child. He had two brothers, Bob and Barry Jeppesen, and one sister, Sharilyn Jeppesen.
Terry's family moved to Broken Arrow in 1951. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the rank of Life Scout and earning his God and Country Award just prior to the family moving to Southern California in 1964.
Terry graduated from California State University-Fullerton with a business degree in marketing. He received his MBA from the University of Southern California and was a life-long fan of the USC Trojans. He moved to Chicago, IL for his first job with Phillips Petroleum after three months training in Ohio. His entire 34-year career was dedicated to various divisions of Phillips Petroleum in Chicago, Houston, Tulsa, and Bartlesville. In 1975, Terry met Barbara, who had also recently moved to the Chicago area, and they married a year later. They enjoyed the Chicago area and bought their first home in a Chicago suburb. They moved to Houston, TX and had two children. After 13 years in Texas, they moved to Tulsa and were both able to remain with their companies.
Serving the Lord through the church was always important to Terry. He was an usher for most of his adult life. He served as a Deacon in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) when he was younger. At Faith United Methodist Church, he taught Children's Sunday School with Barbara, served as usher, greeter, Stewardship Committee member, and cared for the church's landscaping for many years. Terry enjoyed USC football, golf, billiards, yardwork, traveling, and spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. In retirement, his servant heart and love of family shone brightly, as he was always quick to assist his children and their spouses with anything they needed, and they would frequently come home from work to new seasonal flowers in the flowerbed and a freshly cut lawn on particularly long weeks.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Lorraine Jeppesen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; two children, Ryan Jeppesen and wife Sarah, Laura Beth Roop and husband Kourtney; five grandchildren: Benjamin and Henry Jeppesen, Makenzie Moore, Dominic and Havana Maguire; brother Bob Jeppesen and wife Camille. Brother Barry Jeppesen and wife Dee Ann, sister Sharilyn Jeppesen, and five nieces and nephews.
